National players who play in BCL and NCL will undergo fitness tests on November 9 and 10, the BCB (Bangladesh Cricket Board) informed via a press release.
The BCB will get the new T20 tournament off and running soon with the players’ draft to be held on November 12. Before the tournament, the players had to undergo beep test.
“It will be a beep test and we’re hoping that the training they have done individually will ensure they are in good condition. The players who play the national league and the BCL will undergo beep test tomorrow,” BCB fitness trainer Tusher Kanti Howlader said.
He also informed that the national team players along with the HP team are in good condition. Both of these groups recently took part in the BCB-arranged President’s Cup.
The fitness test is cause for optimism for the local players who have not been able to play competitive cricket since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
