‘Kali O Kolom’ editor Abul Hasnat passes away



Abul Hasnat, editor of ‘Kali O Kolom’, a popular monthly magazine on art, literature and culture of the country, passed away this morning while undergoing treatment at a Dhaka hospital.

He breathed his last at Anwar Khan Modern Medical College Hospital in the capital around 8:30 am, Ashfaq Khan, assistant editor of the magazine, confirmed to The Daily Star.

He said Abul Hasnat had been hospitalised since September 15 due to a lung infection. His Covid-19 report came negative, he added.

Apart from journalism, Abul Hasnat had also written stories and poems. He received Bangla Academy Award in 2013.
