Fire at Dhaka’s Karwan Bazar building doused



A fire broke out at the BDBL building in Dhaka’s Karwan Bazar this morning.

The fire originated at the 18th floor of the building around 6:30am, said Rasel Sikdar, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters.

On information, four units of firefighters rushed there and brought the fire under control around 8:00am, he said adding that the firefighters doused the fire an hour later at 9:00am.

None was reported injured in the fire.

The cause of the fire and the extent of its damages will be known after inspection later, the fire service official said.
