Circular on dress code: Institute of Public Health director apologises

Director of Institute of Public Health (IPH) Dr Muhammad Abdur Rahim has sought apology for the notice he issued to his colleagues for adhering to a specific dress code.

Withdrawing the notice, he sought pardon in a letter to the director general (DG) of the health directorate Prof ABM Khurshid Alam this evening.

“He has sent a letter to me saying sorry and assured that he will not make such mistake in future. He has withdrawn the letter. But the issue is not going to end here,” Prof ABM Khurshid Alam told The Daily Star.

“He has to explain officially why he has done this… The health ministry has also expressed disappointment on this issue.” he added.
