Agreement on Covid-19 vaccine in 2 to 4 days: Health minister

Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque today said an agreement to bring Covid-19 vaccine to Bangladesh would be done within two to four days.

“We’re in touch with the people who are making vaccines,” he said while distributing food packages among coronavirus pandemic-hit people in Garpara area of Manikganj Sadar this noon.

“An agreement on the vaccine will be reached in two to four days,” the minister said.

Addressing the programme organised by the district unit of Red Crescent Society, Zahid Maleque reiterated the government’s decision that if anyone does not wear a face mask, he/she will not get service from any organisation.

“Everyone must wear mask when going to service providers,” he added.
